News and Notes

Put Compassion Into Action: Jesus said how we treat those in need is how we treat him (Matthew 25:31-46). Practice the love of neighbor he commanded in his gospel (Mark 12:31) by bringing your weekly gifts to church on Sunday to help disadvantaged children, women and men locally through the Dawn Center and Westside Elementary School. Items needed: canned and nonperishable food, personal hygiene products, baby care supplies, school supplies, children's arts and crafts supplies, new or gently used and clean clothing. Also needed: greeting card front covers, Campbell Soup labels and Box Tops for Education coupons (found on many nonperishable food packages) for Saint Jude's Ranch for Children, which rescues children of all races and religion from abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Milestones

Anniversaries: Congratulations to Father William and Presbytera Mary Mattis (April 23).

Birthdays: Best wishes to Alex Onishenko (April 16), Gregory Orloff (April 16) and Debbie Romanyak (April 24).

Christ is risen! God grant them many, blessed years in health and salvation!
